Moncler Genius is a creative hub of design collaborations that produce capsule collections inspired by the iconic Moncler heritage and values. Its vision is to promote energy that comes from a hybrid of different cultures, beyond the borders of season, age and taste.
Each designer offers a personal point of view on the Moncler product and the values it stands for; authenticity, function and performance.
JW Anderson brings his non-binary elegance to the Moncler Genius Project. Inflating pieces form the JW Anderson archive alongside Moncler puffer coats emblazoned with polka-dots and stud embellishments. In a statement the Northern Irish designer explains his vision for the collaboration, “The technicality and straightforwardness of Moncler are fascinating to me. A down jacket needs to respond to a function, and I kept that in mind adding my own taste for blunt abstraction”.
Welcome to the romantic world of 4 Moncler Simone Rocha. Simone Rocha has balanced her trademark voluminous silhouettes with Moncler's sense of utility. The collection evolved from considering protection against the elements, developing a harmonious blend of romanticism and the outdoors. Protection, according to Rocha, is a core Moncler value "The brand is meant for being in nature."
Richard Quinn brings his forward-thinking and unafraid vision to the Moncler Genius project, 0 Moncler Richard Quinn pays tribute to exuberant multicoloured femininity, introducing 70’s-inspired silhouettes and playful patterns. Central Saint Martins graduate Richard Quinn was presented with the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design by Her Majesty the Queen in February 2018 and has since received the Award for British Emerging Talent in Womenswear at the Fashion Awards in 2018.
Matthew Williams demonstrates his genius one again as 1017 ALYX 9SM injects its own take into Moncler’s principles of luxury, fusing the identities of both brands for 6 Moncler 1017 ALYX 9SM.
